Quoting from the April 26 Post and Courier, "Charleston Mayor Joe Riley said Monday he not only opposes the scope of the proposed Watson Hill development in Dorchester County, but also North Charleston's attempt to annex it."
"That is bad public policy," Riley said of the proposed annexation. "We communities and government need to respect the community and aspirations for the areas affected." Would anyone from James Island care to join me as I stand on the edge of James Island and shout at the top of my voice to Charleston, "Hypocrite?"
